Obituary of Marion Armstrong

On Thursday February 18th, 2016, surrounded by family, Marion passed away peacefully at home in her 88th year. Marion was born March 6, 1928 in Barnesville, New Brunswick, the daughter of Ernest and Gertrude Floyd. She was united in marriage to Leslie Waldron Armstrong‎ on April 14, 1951 in Bathurst, New Brunswick. He preceded her in death May 31, 1985. Marion later entered into a loving relationship with Howard Milton Geddes, he preceded her death May 6, 2014. Marion is survived by her children; Sharon Armstrong (Karen Hardtke), Carol Armstrong, Alan (Karen) Armstrong, Martin (Michelle) Armstrong and Paul Armstrong; 7 Grandchildren, Stephanie (Gord), Jeffrey (Stephania), Peter (Rachel) , Jennifer (Michael), Curtis (Michelle), Amanda (Andy) and Grant; 13 beloved Great Grandchildren and her brother Vernon (Laura) Floyd.  Marion was preceded in death by her sister Evelyn Carleton and brothers Harold Floyd and Lawrence Floyd.   Marion is fondly remembered for her vibrant smile, zest for life and wonderful sense of humour. She loved a good game of golf, summers at Nine Mile Lake, travelling the globe and wintering in Florida.  She relished her many friendships and always‎ enjoyed a good party but most of all making memories with her family.  The family would like to thank all of those who were involved in her care over the past months.  Friends may call at the Mt. Albert United Church 41 Alice St., Mt. Albert for a memorial visitation on Sunday, February 21st, 2016 from 1:30 p.m. until the time of a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.   Arrangements entrusted to SKWARCHUK FUNERAL HOME, Mt.
