I taught with Florence at Mt. Albert Public School for several years. She was such an advocate for special needs students and did all in her power to make their educational experience a positive journey. I am pleased that I had the opportunity to interact with her grandson Brett. I will always consider her to be the matriarch of MAPS, a school very dear to my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time. You have lost an amazing lady. Bev Chambers

Mary: I was sorry to hear of your sister's passing when I met you today. It's always tough when your brothers and sisters pass, after all they have been your best pals all those years. I didn't know her or her family but if she was your sister she had to be great. Love you, Rose

Florence will be remembered fondly as the kind and loving lady she was. Seeing her at Harrison family reunions was always a way for cousins to reconnect. Sincere condolences from Valerie Thomas and family (nee Harrison) Phyllis and Willis Harrison were my parents.
