My deepest condolences to Sam’s family. I worked for Sam at the Greenhouses when I was in high school (I went to school with Frankie) 30+ years ago. Every spring/summer since then I was always so happy to see Sam during my visit to the greenhouses and we would get caught. I will miss seeing Sam. Going to the greenhouse won’t be the same. Whenever that my wife and I would visit at Bradford Greenhouses, on Highway 11, there was Sam, always with a smile on his face. I was always surprised when he would greet me by name, even though I was only a sporadic customer. My parents were steady clients from the time that the business began. You could not meet a better "GENTLEMAN" than Sam. Always personable, asking how the family was. I do not recall ever hearing a negative word from him, and "ALL" of the Staff that I came in contact with, loved this man. My sincerest condolences, at this time. Sad news to hear of Sam's passing. Many years come to mind of Mary and I working together, and of teaching the kids at St. Marie of the Incarnation but also of walking around the greenhouse and always looking forward to chatting with Sam. He was steadfast in his work ethic despite health challenges. A courageous, personable man proud of his family and his many friends.

Sam and Mary's house was like a second home to me growing up. I spent countless hours sitting around the kitchen table enjoying Mary's homemade pasta sauce and chatting with the family. Sam was always home for lunch to check in with the family and to ask about how their day was going. I was always included and treated as one of the family. Thanks Sam and Mary for the fond memories, your love, warmth and hospitality.
