On Christmas Day, I sent Tracey a message — something we had done for the past eight or nine years, thanks to social media. Tracey was one of my closest friends growing up in the court, along with her sidekick Emily and her little brother McClellan. There was Jamie and Jennifer Conway, David Delcourt, Bradley and Leslie Brays, Howie McGregor, Jason Romagnoli, and my later brother Paul. Tracey’s sisters and her brother John were part of that world as well. Together, we built a small coalition of kids in that court — a place that, at the time, felt like the entire world.
When Tracey didn’t reply, I had a hunch — nothing more than that. I Googled her name, thinking maybe she had a new phone number. Instead, I found the news.
I have never been so shaken. Not even after losing my own brother, or my three half-sisters, or other members of my family. This loss hit differently. It hit home.
I can still see myself as a kid, crossing the court, knocking on the door and saying, “Good morning, Tracey’s mom — can Tracey come out to play?”
I wanted — and needed — to pay my respects to this family. Because that court, that green box, will never be the same. Not in Bradford. Not then, when it was Simcoe Place. Not now, just off Nelson Street.
Some places stay with you forever. Some people do too. Tracey was one of them.

To all the Stam family members. So sorry to hear about the passing of Tracey. Our family remembers her fondly from the time she lived on Simcoe Place. Enjoyed watching her and the rest of the kids grow up. We still live there, but it is now called Kneeshaw Place. The Conways

My condolences to the Stam family. Mostly to Len who lost his little girl.
I lived next door to this wonderful STAM family for 9 years. When Tracey's mum had an opportunity to visit BC , I offered to babysit Tracey who was 18 months old. She was a beautiful baby with brown curly hair. So lovable. Unfortunately I got a migraine which in those days lasted 3 days and Tracey was taken away from me. Another person had the pleasure to look after her. Not having had girls, she was a treasure to me.
I used to watch Tracey cut across our backyard to go and play with Stephany's girls. I would watch them play in the sandbox.
I had not seen Tracey for years until we were both at the Celebration of Life to Cindy Snider's mother in March 27, 2019 in Midland. Our eyes locked, the reunion was heartwarming.
Jack Delcourt died the same day as Tracey 15 years prior. The shock was greater than had it been another day. Tracey was special to me even if I did not see her for years.

Sending lots of love to family and friends of Tracey. That beautiful girl with the wonderful smile and contagious laughter.
Courageous and brave until the end. You are my hero! And I am very proud of you! But that I weep for what came… why oh why… can someone who fought so hard have this happen to her? It’s so unfair…
Memories poor out. Your brother throwing rocks at my window saying hey - we are going to Gilford… you coming?
We poured into the station wagon… all of us… to go to that wonderful place called Omas house. The place I dreamed of… every day… to see uncles and aunts and friends and cousins. That place that seemed like heaven. That great family that I had never experienced. The family that played together and laughed together and of course had some beers together! Lol.
I know that you will reach that place again… that beautiful place… the innocence of your youth will not be denied to you in perpetuity!
Go well girl.
I will miss you.
Love David Delcourt.
Your brother next door.

RIP. You were always that person when you walked in a room the entire place lit up. Fun thoughtful generous loving caring person. Your light will always shine in everyone’s heart. Condolences to the family for this great loss.
Picture attached was in 2006 when she lit up our anniversary party and as you all know Tracey lit up the party❤️

Rest in Peace my beautiful friend. We were fast friends with an instant kinship and I miss you dearly. Thank you for the laughs, the tears and sharing in each other's hopes and dreams. I will forever cherish our deep talks on the back deck at the farm and all the many ways you made me smile. I hope you've been reunited with your Mom, Zena and all those loved ones that passed before you. Until we meet again - xo. Roxy
