Obituary of Kees Jan Cornelis Stryland

Kees peacefully passed away with his loving wife at his side, at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 80 years of age.

Beloved husband of Suzanne (nee Lamarche) for 54 years. Loving father of Derek (Kris), Brad (Sarah) and Jason. Proud opa of Jasper, Willem; Ben and Jon. Dear brother of Johanna (Chris) and Ryk (Allison). Kees will also be lovingly remembered by his extended family and friends.

Since arriving in Canada as a young person, Kees developed a lifelong passion for horticulture and nature which he pursued throughout his life in work and pleasure.

Special thanks to the staff at Southlake Regional Health Centre for their compassionate care of Kees.

A memorial visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Road, Bradford on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:30 a.m.

In Kees' memory, donations may be made to Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation or to The Ontario Horticultural Association.
