Obituary of Maria Ferreira

Maria peacefully passed away with family by her side, at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 97 years of age.

Beloved wife of late Joao "Sorte". Loving mother of Feliciano (Connie). Proud Avó of Glen (Alaena), Melanie (Tony) Da Silva and Michael (Marie). Cherished Nana of Alexis, Caleigh, Logan, Mateo, Liam and Ophelia. Maria will also be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Arminda and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Road, Bradford on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Martyrs of Japan Catholic Church, 167 Essa Street, Bradford on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Martyrs of Japan Catholic Cemetery, Bradford.

In Maria's memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
