Obituary of Lucia da Conceicao Viveiros Balugas

Lucia peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her family on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 60 years of age.

Beloved wife of John. Loving mother of Mason (Vanessa) and Cassandra (Decio). Proud Avó of Keanu, Micky and Logan. Cherished daughter of Maria and late Daniel Viveiros. Loving sister of Danny (Paula), Natalie (Roger), Robert and Liz (John). Dear sister-in-law of Isaura (Carlos), Maria (Jose) and Luisa (Paulo). Lucia will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews and their families.

Visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Martyrs of Japan Church, 167 Essa St., Bradford on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow Holy Martyrs Cemetery, Bradford.

Special thanks to Evgeny Kuzmin, St. Elizabeth Health Care, her nurse who was amazing and stayed by Lucia and her family, as well as Dr. Dhanani at the Centre For Biological Medicine.
