Obituary of Maria de Fatima Soares

Fatima unexpectedly but peacefully passed away surrounded by her family at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 77 years of age.

Beloved wife of the late Abilio Soares. Loving mother of Jorge (Nadine) Soares and Diane (Joseph) Viveiros. Proud Avó of Ryan, Caitlin (Michael); Leah, Thomas and Grace. Cherished daughter of the late Julio and late Herminia Soares. Dear sister of late Marilia (late Raimundo), late Julio, Francisco (Lucia), late Herminia and late João (Fatima). Fatima will also be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Road, Bradford on Monday, May 19, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Martyrs of Japan Church, 167 Essa Street, Bradford on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Martyrs of Japan Catholic Cemetery, Bradford.

In Fatima's memory, donations may be made to the Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation.
