Obituary of Gary Wayne Moore

Gary passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday June 4, 2025 surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 73.

Gary will be remembered with love by his wife Anita. He will be deeply missed by his children Caitlin (Chris), Matt and Alex. Forever remembered by brothers Richard, Edward and Doug. He will also be greatly missed by his dear friend Elaine and many other lifelong friends. Gary is predeceased by his loving parents John and Jean Moore.

In his youth Gary enjoyed playing hockey and football. As a young adult, he had a great sense of adventure and hitchhiked to the West Coast of Canada and into Mexico. He enjoyed horseback riding, skiing, skydiving and his beloved Norton motorcycle. He had a great love for the outdoors, enjoying fishing, hunting, camping and canoeing. Gary was happiest when surrounded by friends and family. He was known as a gifted storyteller and for his sense of humour, which remained with him until his final days.

An interment ceremony will be held for friends and family on Tuesday June 24 at 1:00pm at Lake View Cemetery, 1672 Kirkfield Road, Kirkfield, Ontario where he will be laid to rest with his parents.
