Obituary of Thomas Edmund Wadsworth

Thomas Edmund “Otis” Wadsworth, of Bradford, Ontario, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, after a long illness.

Tom’s loving spirit is carried on by Stella, his wife of nearly 60 years; their daughters, Deborah, Stephanie (Chris Abbott), and Catherine (Frank Ferreira); grandchildren, Rachel and Georgia Bull, and Michael, Stephanie, and Matthew Ferreira. He is predeceased by his parents, Tom and Ada, and sisters Evelyn Campbell and Rosina Lotto.

Tom was born and raised in Newmarket, where he also started a long and resourceful entrepreneurship by selling apples from his wagon as a young boy. From selling apples, to boat tours, growing worms and multi-level marketing networks, building swimming pools and landscapes, owning pool halls and pubs, to working in factories, real estate, and organic farms, business was just a means to an end for our father. He loved being on the water, soaking up the sun, all things vintage, gospel and Motown music, indulging his sweet tooth, and his family. 

To honour Tom’s memory, please join his family in a celebration of his life at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Road, Bradford, on Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. 

Cremation has taken place.
