Obituary of George Charles Carey

George peacefully passed away with his wife and daughters by his side at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 88 years of age.

Beloved husband of Jackie "Jake". Loving dad of Michael Carey (Kate Wilson), Jenny "Boo" Carey (Joey Horvath) and Leah "Squirt" (Mike) Brochu. Loving stepdad of Stephanie Uprichard (Kyle Jessup), Chris Uprichard (Tasha), Dan MacMillan and Joe MacMillan. Proud Papa George of Ciara, Shawn, Shanyka; Carey, Stephanie; Neil; Trinity, Kai; Terran and Rowan. 

A celebration of George's life will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford on Monday, August 11, 2025 from 1-3 p.m.

In George's memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Batten Disease Support & Research Association in support of his grandson Neil.
