I always liked Deb thru grade school and high school. She was always smiling and laughing, and got along so easily with everyone. I admired her ability to play baseball so well. We egged each other on in the “arm sports” of shotput, discus & javelin at high school. I last saw Deb at our grade’s 40th anniversary of graduation, and it was just like seeing her the previous day, she was the same Deb we all came to love. I’m so sorry to hear of her passing. She will be greatly missed. My fondest regards to all her family and friends.

I am so saddened by the passing of my dear friend Debbie. She was a beautiful person with the biggest smile and heart.
My memoires with the Slaughter family are countless. I I loved her for 58 years, her passing has been a shock, to all who loved her.
We stood up for each other at our weddings, we shared our babies and our grandchildren's stories and growth.
Debbie was a a leader and a true team player in everything she attempted, including sports and her career.
She always saw the good side of every situation, that is one of the things I admired about her.
Its not goodbye Debbie, its see you down the road. I will miss you everyday.
Deepest Sympathy to Jack. Tom, Becky and their beautiful familes.
Love Always, Elaine and Rick House

There are no words to express the sadness I feel for the loss of dear Debbie :( I worked with Debbie at Suzuki Canada and have known her for over 30 years. We met monthly for our Suzuki Ladies Dinner and our table will be smaller now :( My deepest sympathies to the Slaughter family. May her memory be a blessing. I will miss you my friend. Thinking of the family of this much loved woman. I am fortunate to know her daughter, Becky, who was clearly raised with love and tenderness, understanding. My sincere sympathies to all of you --- you are all better for having had this lovely lady in your life, clearly.
