Obituary of Caroline Kohar Yesanko

Caroline Kohar Yesanko, also known as "Karolina" born in Slovakia, peacefully passed away at home with her family by her side on Sunday, October 19, 2025 just two weeks shy of her 97th birthday.

Beloved wife of the late John. Loving Mom of Jane Gauvin (Yvon), Robert (Lucy), Karen and John. Proud Grandma of Robert Gauvin and Michael Meddick. Sister of Peter Kohar (Joan). Aunt of Jennifer McCubbin (Gord), and Susan Tubrett (Dion).

Caroline will also be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews out west. Predeceased by her sister-in-law Mary Hess and her husband Gustav.

A public visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Road, Bradford on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 2-5 p.m. A public Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Martyrs of Japan Church, 167 Essa Street Bradford, on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In Caroline's memory and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
