We were so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. We knew that his health had declined but within the Men's PROBUS Club of Newmarket community, we did not know that he had passed until weeks after the fact. As it is, had I known of the Celebration of Life this past weekend I am sure that many club members may have had the opportunity to attend and offer condolences.
Albeit only in recent years, Steve was an intrinsic member of our club and a personal friend of several of our key members.. Using his own ZOOM account, Steve enabled the club to continue with virtual and hybrid meetings throughout the COVID years. Thanks to Steve, we only missed one monthly meeting.
It was with Steve's technical help that I, as then president of the Ontario MGT Register, was able to run a virtual bi-annual car club gathering during those difficult COVID days.
My sincere condolence to Valda and the family.
We will all miss such an amazing chap.
Dave Elms.

Deepest condolences to Valda and all of Steve's family. I was very sorry to hear of Steve's passing.
His warm, cheeky smile and kindness to everyone will always be remembered.
Steve was a colleague on many Xerox product program teams, and we travelled together to multinational meetings in Rochester NY and Welwyn Garden City (WGC), UK.
On one famous occasion, traveling in a car from London Heathrow Airport to Welwyn after stepping off a flight, Brian Hubbard (RIP another XCL legend) and I, as native Londoners, joked with Steve giving him a lesson in the Cockney dialect. Raucous laughter all round was an understatement and we thought Steve would burst from amusement. Needless to say, this Canadian product team had a very successful meeting. It's simple bonding and teambuilding moments like these that made our careers and life worthwhile.
RIP, Steve!

Words cannot begin to express our sorrow at the loss of Steve Muir. We were fortunate to call Steve a friend, and even more fortunate that he called us his friend.
We travelled to Scotland with Steve and Valda and a few years later journeyed The Rhine River between Basel and Amsterdam. Scotch nosing's and time in Sundridge were constants in our relationship.
We saw firsthand the warmth of friendship, his love of family and his desire for adventure. People will comment on that beautiful smile, the twinkle of mischief in his eyes and his ability to relate to almost anyone.
We have our memories of Steve and that will keep him alive in our thoughts and heart. He may be gone but he will always be a part of our lives.

Condolences to you Valda and the rest of the family. I met Steve & Valda after they moved to Sundridge - Steve (and Valda) were happy to volunteer at the many events set up to assist the community at the seniors Happy Gang club. From helping at our garage sale or helping our group be seen at fairs or sales. Steve will be missed.

Our condolences to Val, Shannon, Curtis and families! Steve was a great cousin and one of my favorites!!
We had a silly little thing between the two of us, I always called him my "double dipping cousin" only because I caught him double dipping once!
So from that time on when we met at family gatherings it was always a joke between the two of us, he would pretend to double dip!!
You will be missed and fondly remebered by many!!
Rest in Peace my dear cousin!
Carol, Steve and family
