Obituary of John James "Jim" Powlesland

Jim passed away at Southlake Health, Newmarket on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at 84 years of age.

Beloved husband of Laura for 42 years. Loving dad of Mark (Michelle), Leslie (Gary) and Sarah (Drew). Proud Papa of Ava and Charlotte. Dear dog Grandpa of Mason and Yennefer.

Jim served as President of Powlesland Engineering, founded by his father, before later becoming Manager of Jaguar at Robert Motors. He had a lifelong love of jazz music and an appreciation for well-tailored suits and a good glass of wine. He was known as a true gentleman. But above all, Jim will be remembered for his devotion to his family.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held at a later date.

The family extends their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Southlake Health for their care and compassion.
