Paul L. Dubois

Obituary of Paul L. Dubois

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Paul at Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 64 years of age. Paul was an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend whose presence brought joy and warmth to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Beloved husband of Susan for 43 years. Loving dad of Daniel (Lyndsay) and Chantal (Cory) Roach. Proud Grandpa of Jacob, Noah; Demi, Desiree and Deacon. Cherished son of late Yvonne and late Paul Dubois and son-in-law of Reginald and late Anne Nadon. Dear brother of Paulette (Jim), late Gerry (Rose), Yvon (Giselle), Rachel, Gisele, late Claire, Claude (Shelley), and Denis and brother-in-law of Diane (Pierre), Joanne (Terry) and Rene. Paul will also be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Paul lived life with passion and purpose. He was always up for a round of golf - game of hockey - curling - bowling - going fishing, hunting and playing cards any time. His uncanny ability to recall an entire game and recap it for anyone with passion and enthusiasm was always enjoyed. His love for games was matched only by his love for family. He had a rare gift for making people laugh, no matter the circumstances, and his ability to make anyone smile made every moment with him unforgettable. Whether sharing stories or playing cards, Paul had a way of turning ordinary times into cherished memories. Paul was always there for anyone at anytime, all you had to do was ask. He was often supporting Sue and her chorus in setting up or moving risers, to moving people, to putting his electrical skills to good use, or just doing whatever Sue volunentold him to do. He'd do it all with a smile and make it fun for everyone involved.

Above all, Paul adored his family. His 43 years of marriage to Sue were a testament to unwavering love, partnership, and laughter—a bond admired by all who witnessed it. He was deeply devoted to his children and grandchildren, always present and engaged, creating a legacy of love that will endure for generations.

Paul’s kindness, humour, and strength touched countless lives. His passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, only honoured. Though he left us far too soon, the impact of his life is lasting. His laughter, his love, and his spirit will live on in his family and in all who were lucky enough to know him.
