Obituary of Velma Lotto

Velma peacefully passed away, surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 8, 2026 in her 95th year.

Beloved wife of late Christopher Lotto. Loving mother of Michael (Kay) Burns, Debbie (Chris) Friedrich, Larry (Alenka) Burns and John (Patti) Burns. Proud Nona of Ashley (Chris), Nathan (Kim), Mandy, Shannon and Laura. Proud Bisnonna of Kenden, Hanna and Noah. Dear sister of Anne Tortolo and Rita Cancelli. Velma will also be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Holy Martyrs Cemetery on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 1 p.m. followed by a reception at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford.

In Velma's memory, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County.
