Obituary of John Catania

John Catania, beloved son of the late Antonino and Rosa Catania (nee. Caietta) died peacefully on January 18, 2026 in his 73rd year.

Cherished brother of late Tom (Sarina), late Andy (late Maria), Sam (Margaret), late Joe. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

John was born and raised in Bradford. From humble beginnings in the Marsh to growing up and spending his life on Toronto Street.

John worked hard and lived harder. He enjoyed his toys; muscle cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, classic cars, and spending time with his friends, his chosen family.

Whether it was breakfast at the Riverview, dinner at the Pioneer, or listening to 1950’s/60’s classic rock and rockabilly or just simply cruising on wheels, John was in his happy place.

For those close to him, John was a subtle reminder of a bygone era, quietly reminding us of the good ol’ days.

A memorial visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 12 noon.
