Joe, Lina, Jamie and family, I’m so sorry to hear about Mark’s passing.
Please accept my deepest condolences.
I met Mark in early in high school and for a while there we were as thick as thieves. Things always seemed to come so naturally to him and I saw how hard he studied and worked to achieve the goals he set for himself.
He could do anything he put his mind and heart into.
He always had his priorities straight.
He inspired me in so many ways.
My son just started high school this year and that has spurred so many memories for me. The teenage angst, the mischief, the laughs…oh how we use to laugh back then.
Mark you are front in centre in those memories.
I regret that life moves us all in different directions and that before we know it decades have passed.
I always assumed our paths would cross again someday.
I wish I’d done more on my part to make that happen.
Rest in peace Mark.
Shannon

I've known Mark for most of my life, I met him when we moved into my childhood home. We quickly connected and have been friends ever since. We spent countless hours together through elementary and high school, and then he went on to excel in university as well as the military, where he became a skilled marksman and suited the uniform. Mark was a true warrior with a wealth of potential.
He had a natural ability to excel in anything he pursued, and opportunities seemed endless for him.
He was a consistently generous, honest, and trustworthy person who drew people to him. I am grateful to have had him as my Friend.
Mark was his own person from a young age, never seeking approval from others, he was a born leader.
Mark was often the strongest athlete, best fighter, and smartest person in the room; this was something everyone would always notice.
We grew up like brothers; he was in my wedding and he held my firstborn.
I always looked up to Mark. He had an answer for everything, and it was often right. When he played on our team we would always win. This was Mark.
One of Mark's most impressive qualities was his ability to learn new skills, like classical guitar, artistry, or classical piano or anything mathematical, he'd master them all. I considered him an undiagnosed genius.
He was always kind to others, especially me, offering help whenever I struggled.
I'll always remember our adventures like running, biking, skateboarding, and exploring. I have many memories I will cherish, I wish we had more time together.
Thankfully, Mark knew Jesus, I'm grateful he's at peace with him now.
My brother Mark was a great man, I will never forget him.

Joe & Lina
Although no words can really help to ease the loss of your son Mark, we will always mourn those we love, but we won’t be consumed by that bereavement. Given time and encouragement, we learn to live with the grief. We learn to live forward again.
Keeping you both in my prayers and may you take comfort in a lifetime of cherished memories.
Our deepest sympathies.
Carmen
Mark,
