Obituary of James Robert Matchett

James passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 surrounded by love.

James was the devoted and beloved husband of Audrey Matchett, and a proud and loving father to Deborah Kerbel and Steven Matchett. He was also a cherished father-in-law to Robert Sinclair. A devoted grandfather to Cora and Seth, who brought him immense joy and pride.

He is lovingly remembered by his sisters Leona and Debbie, and is now reunited with his brother Donnie, who predeceased him. James will also be fondly remembered by his extended family, including his wife’s family, and by the many friends whose lives he touched throughout the years.

James was a man of strong convictions, deep loyalty, and unmistakable presence. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
