Obituary of Madeline Marie Janse

Madeline (nee Joosse) peacefully passed away at home on Saturday, February 21, 2026 in her 87th year.

Beloved wife of late John Janse. Madeline will be missed by her loving husband Walter Koopmans. Loving mom of Frances (Bert) Berends, Frank, John (late Michelle), Elsie (Allan) Bulloch and Leonard (Melanie). Proud Gramma of Melanie (Adrian); Luke (Taylor), Mikayla, Morgan (Cam); Allyson, Rebecca, Matthew (Melissa); Amanda (Matthew), Ashley; Mason (Sarah), Lia (Nate) and Ava. Cherished Great Gramma of Payton, Gabrielle, Dante, Darien and Noah. Predeceased by her siblings Jim, Nellie, Catherine, Leonard and Harry. Madeline will also be fondly remembered by the Janse family and her many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford on Sunday, March 1, 2026 from 1- 4 p.m. Memorial Service will be held at Bethel Community Christian Reformed Church, 333 Davis Dr., Newmarket on Monday, March 2, 2026 at 12 noon. Private family interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford.
