Abraham Kamerman

Obituary of Abraham Kamerman

On February 21st at the age of 87, God in his perfect timing called Abraham Kamerman home into the presence of His Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He died peacefully with his loving wife of 64 years by his side.  Abe was a quiet, humble man who was known for his steady spirit, kind heart, hospitality and servant attitude.  He lived out his faith.  He was not one to complain and loved an adventure and a good game.  His relationship with Jesus shaped his life and his love for his family.  Abe, or Bram as he was affectionately known, was a devoted husband to Ann and loving father to Terri and Phil, Joanne and Tom, and David and Danielle.

Abe was a proud grandpa to Joel (Irma), Meagan (Josh), Joshua (Leah), Karina (Ryan), Stephen (Alexandra), Bethany (Troy), Luke (Crystal), Emily (Chris), Jacob (engaged to Donalda), Caleb and Jordan.  He was also a great grandpa to Myla, Alana, Heidi, Nora, Mindy, Aurora, Daniel, Hayden, Georgie, Emmett and late Dawson.

Abe was loved by his siblings, late John and Betty, Cornelis and Akke, Adrian and Nellie, Femmie and John, Simon and Margaret, and his extended Dekkema family; late Gerritt and late Mary, late Klaas and Engelina, Lloyd and Tina, Jean and Geert, Bert and Jenny, and Peter and Carol.

While his family grieves at his passing they rejoice in the promise that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. They take comfort in knowing they have the hope of the resurrection in Christ to come.  He will be deeply missed by his family, his church community and all who were blessed by his faithful life. Thank you to the staff at the Meadows of Aurora and Bradford Valley Community who lovingly cared for Abe in the last season of his life.
