Dorothy McKelvey (nee Graham) passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 27th, 2026 at the age of 90.
Dorothy lived a rich and full life surrounded by family and friends. Predeceased by her beloved husband George whose memory she carried with her of a shared 60 years of love, family, friends, dreams and adventures traveling the world.
Cherished mother of Jane (Camille), Pamela and Susan. Proud grandma to Nicolette (Katie) and Zachary (Paisley) who brought her endless joy. As a mother and grandma she was a constant source of love, wisdom and encouragement. Predeceased by her brother Lorne (Mary Elizabeth).Will be missed by extended family and numerous nieces, nephews.
Dedicated teacher for 20+ years in Toronto and York Region.
Home was always a welcoming place filled with laughter, lively conversations and delicious meals.
Devoted church leader and long time member of her local garden club she gave generously of her time and talents through quiet acts of service.
Dorothy inherited her love of gardening from her mother, Sarah, and transformed it into a place of beauty and peace at her own home
A devoted reader, she was drawn to mysteries and historical works about the Royal Family, and she took equal pleasure in unwinding with a compelling British mystery series.
A loyal fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, a love she shared with her late father, Lloyd.
For those who wish, a donation to your local food bank or Canadian Cancer Society may be shared in her memory, or plant something beautiful in her honour, tending to it with care and remembering the vibrant life she lived.
A private family interment will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford.
