Catherine "Cathy" Marnoch

Obituary of Catherine "Cathy" Marnoch

It is with profound sadness and shattered hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beautiful sister, Cathy Marnoch, on February 27, 2026, at the age of 74.

Cathy’s professional life was a testament to her adventurous spirit. She began her career at Manulife, a time fondly remembered for the morning commutes she shared with her father. Her work there took her across the globe, sparking a lifelong passion for travel that eventually led her to the airline industry. Cathy spent many years soaring through the skies, first with Wardair and later concluding her career with Sky Service.

In her retirement, Cathy traded her passport for a calling closer to home. With unparalleled grace and love, she became the primary caregiver for our mother, Bernice, during her journey with dementia. Her selflessness during those years was a gift to our entire family.

Cathy found her greatest joys in the simple things: the company of her family and the quiet companionship of her beloved cats, Nellie and Parker. She was a woman of loyalty, kindness, and a quiet strength that held us together.

She leaves behind a family that will miss her deeply, including her siblings: Carolyn Riddell (Bob), Alex Marnoch (Teresa Keefer), Roddy Marnoch (Cynthia), Gordon Marnoch (Jennine) and Margie Prestwich (David). Cathy will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly. We take comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her Mom and Dad, and her cherished pet, Punkin.

Rest in peace, our beautiful sister. You are forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 11 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 12 noon, followed by a reception.

In Cathy's memory, donations may be made to Minden Cat Angels.
