To my dear friends and former neighbors, the McNaught family.
My son Cooper and I lived next door to you for many years and it was a pleasure to get to know you and to have you be a treasured part of our lives. Whether it was a quick hello, a lengthy chat or helping each other shovel our driveways. You all always brightened our day and were always there for us if we needed advice or assistance. I hope you know what peace and comfort your friendship gave us. While we had both moved and didn't keep in close touch you will always be my treasured friends and we are deeply saddened to hear about Al. He was such a sweet man, always smiling and so kind. Our hearts are broken for you.. and with you. Sending you our love and prayers.

Dearest friend,
I am so sorry to hear this news.
Everyone loved Al, and everyone loved you and Al together.
You have been a couple for all to look up to, staying strong through all of the challenges that life has thrown your way.
I always loved to hear Al sing, solo and sometimes with you. I feel blessed to have sung along with him too,
In the Mt Albert choir.
Deepest condolences to you and your family,
Peace to you all, Jane & Ivan

What a beautiful picture of the man I was privileged to call my friend!
Both Agnes and I wish to send you our love and support today and always, so many good memories and smiles keep coming as I think of all the time I spent singing to the right of Al in the choir loft in our Church. Al's beautiful tenor tones inspired me, and I can still hear his voice singing out in all those moments we shared together.
Those were special times I will never forget.
Take comfort in knowing he now has a special place with the Father and his Son. I am convinced that the dementia he suffered through is now a thing of the past as he is welcomed in the glorious place we will all get to some day. All his work and efforts for the Church are now being recognized and praised as he starts his new life in Valhalla and his work begins once again.
Rest easy Al, I will truely miss your quick wit and dedication to your friends and family. You are missed and will always give me something to look up to.

Al was a lovely person we met at MA United Church. Himself and Cathy were part of the choir for many years and we enjoyed listening to the choir for those many years. Sometimes Al and Cathy would do duets together which we also very much enjoyed. When we left the church and the church eventually reorganized and lost the choir we missed that Sunday music very much. We wish Al all the peace and as much music as he can get.
