Obituary of Fernando Araujo

Fernando peacefully passed away surrrounded by his loving family at Southlake Health, Newmarket on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 87 years of age.

Beloved husband of São. Loving father of Nando (Betty) Araujo. Proud Avô of Kelsey (Bauti) Pedezert and Jordan Araujo (Sarah Pucciarelli). Cherished Bisavô of Kai Pedezert. Dear brother of late Arlindo, late Francisco, late José Avelino, late Armando, Orlando, Carlos and Fatima.

Visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford on Wednesday April 15, 2026 from 4-8 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Martyrs of Japan Church, 167 Essa St., Bradford on Thursday, April 16,  2026 at 10:30 a.m.

Interment to follow at Holy Martyrs of Japan Catholic Cemetery, Bradford. 

In Fernando's memory, donations may be made to the ACE Unit (Acute Care of the Elderly Unit) at Southlake Health, Newmarket or to the Cochlear Implant Unit at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto.
