Christopher Holt Waring

June 3, 1963 - April 8, 2026

It is with sadness that we share the passing of Chris Waring at 62 years of age. 

A great story teller with natural born artistic talent. 

Chris spent his career as a graphic artist, first with the Wideman sign shop in Gormley, Ontario then with the Toronto Zoo's Graphic Department. In retirement he continued to paint and sculpt art, and enjoyed camping, often feeding wood to his beloved camp fires until sunrise. 

Chris will be missed by his brothers Jeff (Susan), Jody (Sandra) and Tod (Joseph) and his niece and nephews. 

The family would like to thank the many health care providers in the Stouffville Markham Area, and to all the staff at Buckingham Manor in Stouffville who undertook his Palliative care over the final month of his life. 

A private family celebration will honor Chris’ wishes to return one last time to his favourite place on earth, Killbear Park.
