My deepest condolences to Cindy’s family. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Cindy at Cineplex and she was always so thoughtful and kind. She was so excited when her and Michael were pregnant for Myles and she was so excited about welcoming him to their family. My heart goes out to Michael and Myles and may your memories of her bring you some comfort during this difficult time.

I had the opportunity to meet Cindy a couple of years in her role at ConSoul. Over time, I saw how her care, passion and innovative thinking made her a natural leader in this space. I had the privilege of sharing the stage with her last year. Both then and now it is clear to see that she inspired many through her commitment to and advocacy for caregivers.
My heartfelt condolences to Cindy's family.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Cindy's passing. I extend my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to her family of whom she always spoke so highly of. I had the pleasure of meeting Cindy through our mutual passion for protecting working caregivers and had the honor of interviewing her for my podcast. Her insights, personal experience and heart touched so many. I loved learning and reading about all of her accomplishments with ConSoul and am grateful to have gotten to know her in this space. She will be missed.

Cindy was an incredibly creative, skilled and motivated developer of talent. She had an eye for great people and bringing them into her circle of trust and growth. As a colleague, I was always impressed by her drive, resilience and empathy for others. Cindy truly cared about her people, professionally and family. It showed in her everyday.
We will miss you my friend and colleague. Caregivers always find each other and support each other. Thank you for your incredible impact on us all. I will miss your positivity and support. We’ll meet again my friend. This is a picture of one of Cindy’s passion for supporting youth - recruiting talent at DECA with another colleague she cared so much for!

My condolences to her friends and family. I met Cindy through the Toronto HR community in the pandemic and remember first meeting her in person at a Rosie’s Roadshow event. She always kept in touch and we talked fairly regularly despite how busy life got. She was always friendly, caring, warm and supportive. This is a huge loss to the HR community

I have not been able to find the words to express how much I valued Cindy as a person. She cared. Plain and simple, and in this world, that's not easy to find. Cindy gave me a chance, just as she gave so many others a chance. Cindy showed up to help me over and over again. May her memory be for a blessing.

I knew Cindy as an entrepreneur and a passionate advocate for caregivers. I had the opportunity to work with her through CABHI, where her kindness and empathy stood out so clearly.
I will always remember a session where an older adult spoke vulnerably about the burdens of caregiving and became very emotional. Cindy responded with such compassion - calling her a superhero and gently making space for her feelings, ensuring she felt seen, supported, and deeply respected. That stood out to me.
Cindy brought so much heart, and care to her work. My thoughts are with her family and everyone whose lives she touched.

I knew Cindy through her volunteer work at the Ontario Caregiver Coalition, where she was a leader in driving change for caregivers, and created meaningful relationships with with many other caregivers.
Cindy was an incredible advocate for caregivers, and she will continue to have an impact through the energy, vision and creativity that she embodied and that she inspired in others.
She was a warm, empathetic and generous person, with a gift for putting others immediately at ease. People walked away from a conversation with Cindy feeling lighter, more hopeful and with a sense of purpose. She created genuine relationships with people, and lived her values. She will be remembered with love and gratitude.

Cindy Diogo represented everything we hope to foster within the Niagara Falls entrepreneurial community: resilience, purpose, compassion, and the courage to build something meaningful. As Cindy’s Program Coordinator at the Niagara Falls Innovation Hub, I had the privilege of working closely with Cindy. I witnessed incredible growth in Cindy, not only as a founder and entrepreneur, but as a person who led with heart, purpose, and unwavering authenticity. Cindy poured herself into her mission and the future she was building. She proudly pitched on stage during our Blue Ocean Angels event, earned second place at our Demo Day competition, and continuously showed up with determination, courage, and optimism. It was an honour to mentor her, hear her story, and watch her step more confidently into her purpose with her company Consoul. Beyond her accomplishments, Cindy was someone who deeply loved and spoke often about the people closest to her, especially Myles and Michael. They were at the center of her entrepreneurial journey and purpose, and every dream she carried forward. Her purpose was always bigger than herself. Cindy was one of the most genuine, positive, and supportive people I have ever met. She had a way of making everyone around her feel encouraged, seen, and capable. Even while building her own vision, she never stopped cheering on others in theirs. Though her time with us was far too short, Cindy’s story, energy, and spirit will continue to live on through the many people she inspired in entrepreneurial community. We will miss her deeply.

My life changed when Cindy and I became roommates. It didn't take long for our relationship to evolve into a sisterhood where we helped each other to navigate life, school and careers. You introduced me to Haagen-Daz and I taught you about hockey. You helped me with tech and I was often your sounding board for career discussions. We always knew we could count on each other from late night phone calls to St Patricks shenanigans, even to saving each other from allergic reactions. As time went on, we saw each other less frequently but we were always there for each other. Your life changed when you met Michael and when you were both blessed with Myles. I loved watching you as a partner and as a kind loving mother. Your absolute devotion was simply beautiful to see.
I hope you know how much I loved and respected you for your friendship, steadfast loyalty, kindness, quirky sense of humor, intelligence, work ethic and dedication. I hope to continue your legacy by emulating you in so many ways. Until we meet again

My sincere condolences to all of Cindy’s family and friends on this immense loss. I was fortunate enough to know Cindy in high school at Holy Trinity. She had an unforgettable laugh and was effortlessly cool. She always knew exactly who she was and was unapologetically herself. I never heard her speak unkindly, and I remember many times when she would speak up if someone else was being harsh or unfair. Most of all, I remember laughing together, silly challenges in the café, her incredible sense of humour, and dancing away at our prom. I found this photo of Cindy in her chic orange prom gown with some of the gang. It still makes me smile, even with this sad news. Rest in peace, Cindy. I hope we’ll dance together again someday.

Some friendships shape entire chapters of your life, and ours did exactly that.
We may not have spoken in many years, but that never erased the memories, the love, or the impact you had on my life.
From travelling together, living together, late nights, laughter, and all the moments in between you were once my person, my sister, my best friend.
I’m deeply saddened to hear of your passing and carrying a lot of emotions and regret today.
Thank you for being such a big part of my story.
Rest peacefully.

Cindy was one of those rare people who made you feel loved no matter how much time or distance had passed. Kind, brilliant, funny, beautiful, and endlessly thoughtful.. she carried such a warmth about her that people naturally gravitated toward.
Over the years, life took us in different directions, but somehow we always found our way back to each other. Lately, that looked like long back-to-back voice notes, laughing, catching up on life, sharing grief, and talking about finally getting together again soon. I’m so grateful for those conversations now.
When Cindy came to visit me from Canada years ago, she brought me a ring that I still have. It means something entirely different to me now~ a small piece of her that I’ll carry forever.
One thing I will always hold close is that during our last conversation, I told her exactly how much she meant to me and how much I looked up to her. I told her how loved she was. Not everyone gets the chance to say those things out loud before someone is gone, and I will forever be grateful that I did.
I already miss her laugh, her voice, her sweetness, and the comfort of knowing she was out there in the world.
I love you so much, Cindy. Thank you for always making sure I knew I was loved too. I hope you are surrounded by peace, by your dad, by Winston, and by every soul you missed while you were here. Until we meet again. ❤️
