Manuel peacefully passed away surrounded by his family at Bradford Valley Care Community on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 78 years of age. 

Beloved husband of Maria do Céu. Loving dad of Maria Filomena (Paulo) Silva, and Dora Cristina (Paulo) Oliveira. Proud grandfather of Vanessa, Liana; Evan, and Nadia. Dear brother of Ludovina, Idalia, Arminda and of late Maria. 

Visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford on Sunday May 31, 2026 from 2-5 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Holy Martyrs of Japan Church, 167 Essa St., Bradford on Monday June 1, 2026 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Martyrs Cemetery, Bradford.

In Manuel's memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Simcoe County.
