Obituary of Csaba Gustav Nemesfalvi
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Csaba Gustav Nemesfalvi, who passed at Mariposa House Hospice, in his 90th year with family by his side. Csaba was predeceased by his wife, Catherine Berta Nemesfalvi (nee Hernadi) with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Loving father of James (Rosemary), Cathy and Anthony (Beata). Proud papa of Christopher, Jimmy (Angelli), Timothy, Matthew and Mia. Cherished great grandpa of Isabella. Dear uncle of Gabriella (Geza) and Peter (Marianna). Csaba will also be fondly remembered by his extended family in Canada and Hungary.
Born in Hungary in 1937, Csaba immigrated to Canada in 1956 in search of new opportunities and a better future. His first job took him deep into the wilderness of Saskatchewan, working on the railroad. He later moved to Toronto, where he met Catherine, and they married shortly thereafter.
While working for Massey Ferguson, Csaba built the foundation for the life he would create for his family. After purchasing a home in Etobicoke, he established and successfully operated his own aluminum business, specializing in the installation of windows, doors, eavestroughs, and siding. Through hard work, determination, and skill, he built a respected business and provided a wonderful life for his family.
A devoted family man, Csaba treasured time spent outdoors and created countless memories during family trips to cottage country along the Severn River, Sparrow Lake, Wasaga Beach, and Algonquin Park. Csaba also enjoyed the simple pleasures in life- a day on the water - a good catch while fishing and countless games of rummy with family and friends.
Athletics were a lifelong passion. In his youth, he enjoyed swimming and cycling in Hungary and competed in cycling events in France before immigrating to Canada. He continued to embrace an active lifestyle throughout his years in Canada, enjoying skiing, windsurfing, rollerblading, and walking. Never one to slow down, he even took up kayaking in his late 80s.
His strength, kindness, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
His memory will be cherished always.
Csaba's wish was to return to Hungary, therefore cremation has taken place. We invite family and friends to join us for a celebration of life to share stories and remember Csaba on Saturday, June 6 beginning at 1:00 pm. Please reach out to the family at 905-278-5151 for details.
