Paul Anthony Henry Kirkup

April 23, 1950 – July 27, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Anthony Henry Kirkup, who passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, at the age of 76 after a brief illness.

Born and raised in Bradford, Paul came from a family with deep farming roots that spanned generations. He later spent two memorable decades in Kingston before returning home to Bradford. Paul enjoyed a successful career with CIBC before later taking great pride in his work at Krown, where he truly valued his colleagues and the people he worked with. Wherever he lived or worked, Paul embraced life wholeheartedly, never missing an opportunity to make a friend, share a laugh, tell a long-winded story, or enjoy a scotch with family and friends.

Paul will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, unwavering love for Jehovah, and his many years of faithful service as an elder. He found great joy in encouraging and caring for others. Affectionately known as PBob, Papa Paul, and Poppy, he leaves behind countless cherished memories.

Paul is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 56 years, Louise; his daughters, Jennifer (Ryan) and Jodi; his granddaughters, Bailee and Ava; his great-granddaughters, Scarlett and Harper; and many extended family members and dear friends.

He was predeceased by his brother, Jack (Marilyn), and his sister, Carolyn (Bill). He is survived by his sisters, Kathy (Bob) and Shirley (Deryk), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Though our hearts are broken, we are comforted by the hope of seeing Paul again in Paradise—a promise from Jehovah that he held firmly to throughout his life.

A celebration of Paul's life will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 2 pm. at The Barn 1906, 2323 Line 13, Gilford, ON. We warmly invite all who knew him to stay and share stories, laughter, and memories as we honour a life well lived.

The family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care Paul received at Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket. In lieu of flowers, donations to the hospice in his memory would be sincerely appreciated.
