VELEMA, Johannes (Joe) – Peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by his family on Friday, July 22, 2016. Joe Velema of Tottenham at 71 years of age. Beloved husband of Claire (nee Barneveld). Loving dad of Robert (Sandra), Christina (Adrian) D’Orazio, Jodi (Michael) Tilley, Michael (Terri) and Amanda (Matthew) Schell. Proud Opa of Kylee, Rachael, Adam; Julianna, Alyssa; Jordan, Jacob; Mackenzie, William, Nathan; Landon and Carter. Dear brother of George (Hennie) and Nella (Walter). Dear brother-in-law of William (Nell), late Jim (Corrie), Georgina (Hank), Elisabeth (Art) and Jenny (late Don). Joe will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Springdale Christian Reformed Church, 1466 5th Sideroad, Bradford for visitation on Monday, July 25, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Memorial service will be held at the Church on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 1 p.m. In Joe’s memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or King Christian School.
