Obituary of Keith Ernest Kell

Peacefully passed away after a brief illness, surrounded by family at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

 

Keith Ernest Kell in his 94th year was born February 9, 1930, on the home farm. His life began in the dining room, but never got far from the kitchen. Beloved son of Hazel Blanche Archer Kell and John Nelson Kell. A farmer, jokester, card shark, and storyteller, who loved his family, friends, community, and church.

 

He is now reunited with his lifelong true friend and partner of 68 years, Helen Kell (nee Richardson). Loving father of Joy Anne Kell (Sid), Sandra Kell-Cullen (Bruce), Barbara Kell-Rose (Dave) and predeceased by Mary Lee Kell. Proud grandpa of his very, very, very favourite grandchildren; Karen (Adam), Julie, Stacey (late Aran), Kelly (Jim); Kyle (Hivin), Adam (Shelby), Eric, Emma; Katelyn and Heather (Tyler). Cherished great grandpa of Caitlyn, Jack, Gavin, Cole, Connor, Cian, Liam, and James. Predeceased by beloved brother and sisters William J Kell (Isobel), Grace Moriarty (Lou), Shirley Constable (Blake). Dear brother-in-law of Barbara (Charlie) Wilcox, Gerry Chamberlain (late Marg) and Susan Downs (Constable). Much loved uncle/great uncle of many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

 

Visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Road, Bradford on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Zion Cemetery, Fennell's Corners.

 

For those unable to attend the funeral service, livestreaming of the funeral service will be available on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11 a.m. A link will be provided on this webpage at 10:30 a.m.
