Obituary of Jill Slykhuis

  After a long and valiant struggle with cancer, Jill peacefully passed away, with family by her side at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Wednesday, September 8, 2010.  Jill Slykhuis (nee Daley) of Barrie and formerly of Bradford at 57 years of age.  Beloved mother of Erynn Slykhuis and Damien Slykhuis. Loving wife of Ron Pittendreigh. Cherished sister of late Tom (Penny), late Brent, Scott, Janice Hope, and Susan (Dan) Kuzmyk. Jill will be fondly remembered by John Slykhuis and her many nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to the nurses at Royal Victoria Hospital for their compassionate end of life care and to the Oncology team at Southlake Regional Health Centre for their unwaivering support and expertise throughout Jill�s lengthy battle. At Jill�s request cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #521, 115 Back St., Bradford on Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 12 noon - 3 p.m..
