Obituary of Alida Maria Verbaas-Meyer

  Suddenly, but peacefully passed away at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Tuesday, September 21, 2010.  Alida (nee Verbaas) of Kitchener in her 74th year.  Beloved companion of Nick Van Dinther. Loving mom of George (Marnie) Koekkoek, Dan (Robyn) Koekkoek and Jamie Koekkoek. Proud Oma of Alison and Robbie; Stephanie and Rachel; Victoria and Jakob. Alida will be fondly remembered by Caroline (Tom) Thompson. Dear sister of Helen (Nizam), Ria (Tony), Larry (late Ria), Joanne (John) and Gary (Laurie). Dear sister-in-law of Ali (late Piet) and Henk (Wil). Alida will also be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at SKWARCHUK FUNERAL HOME, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford (1-800-209-4803) on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 10 a.m. � 12 noon followed by a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion, 115 Back St., Bradford Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
