Obituary of Joan Purkiss

  Suddenly, but peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Monday, January 24, 2011. Joan (nee Wilson) of Bradford and formerly of Beaverton in her 76th year. Beloved wife of Phillip for 44 years. Loving mom of Christine (Larry) Mackey and Sheila (Henry) Radder. Dear stepmother of Lynne Purkiss. Proud grandma of Joshua, Matthew, Grace, Ashley and Michael; Jordan, Nicholas, Rachel and Madison; Caitlyn and Rebecca. Also survived by her sisters Edith Campbell and Alma McDougall and her brother Robert Wilson. Joan will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Friends may call at SKWARCHUK FUNERAL HOME, Bradford for visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at the Queensville United Church 20453 Leslie St., Queensville on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment Old Stone Church Cemetery, Beaverton.
