  (WW II Air Force Veteran; Lifetime member of Manitoba Lodge A.F. & A.M. #236, Cookstown, Member of Barrie Valley of the Scottish Rite; Founder and Former President of Windsor Raceway; Founder and Former President of Barrie Raceway; Former Director of Canadian Trotting Association (Standardbred Canada); Founding Member of Racetracks of Canada) Peacefully with family at his side at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Sunday, March 20, 2011. William Rowe of Barrie and formerly of Newton Robinson in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Rowe (nee Locke). Loving father of M. Jane and her husband David Rees of Barrie and W. Earl Rowe of North Carolina. Cherished Poppy of Jennifer Hutchins (Andrew Shepherd) and Katherine Hutchins, both of Vancouver Island; Crystal Rowe of Florida and Ryan Rowe of North Carolina. Dear great grandfather of Reuben and Grace Shepherd. Dear son of the late Honourable Earl and the late Treva (nee Lennox) Rowe. Dear brother of Jean Casselman of Prescott and the late Lennox Rowe of Cookstown. Dear brother-in-law of Marion (late Jack) Dewar, late Parker (late Bettie) Locke, late Jean Locke; late Isobel Saunders and late Robert Prowse. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at SKWARCHUK FUNERAL HOME, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford (1-800-209-4803) for visitation on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Masonic Service will be held under the auspices of the Manitoba Lodge A.F. & A.M. #236, Cookstown on Friday at 6:45 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Newton Robinson United Church on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. followed by cremation. Donations to the Newton Robinson United Church; Covenant House, Toronto; and Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation Learning Centre � Valley of Barrie would be appreciated.
