Peacefully on Thursday, September 8, 2011, after a lengthy illness with cancer at her home in Bond Head. Janice Downey (nee Taft) in her 69th year after 44 years of marriage. Beloved wife of Richard. Dear mother of Susan (Liam) Morrison and Doug (Jennifer) Downey. Dear grandma of Sarah, Paul, Lydia and Ruth Morrison; Andrew and Jane Downey. Dear sister of Mason Taft and Harshaw (Lois) Taft and their family. Friends may call at SKWARCHUK FUNERAL HOME, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford (1-800-209-4803) for visitation on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the St. John�s Presbyterian Church, 2940 10th Sideroad, Bradford on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 1 p.m. followed by cremation. Donations to the York Region Abuse Program (where Janice was a Founding Member), Sleeping Children Around the World or Shriners Hospital for Children would be appreciated.
