Obituary of Hazel Grace Moriarty

On Monday, July 8, 2013 in her 86th year, Grace Moriarty passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, Ontario.  Grace was born in Fennells Corner, Ontario on August 12, 1927 to the late Hazel and late John Kell.  Devoted wife of 64 years to the late Lou Moriarty.  Grace enjoyed and devoted her time to CIBC for 34 years as an administrative assistant.  She was known for her love of reading, gardening, home decorating, shopping, playing cards and the occasional visit to Casino Rama.  Lou and Grace always enjoyed their time at their home on Mapleview in Barrie, Ontario also known as �The Farm�, which created many wonderful memories for the entire family.  Dearly loved by her three daughters Marilou (Bill Mason), Janine (Ted Long) and the late Kelly Moriarty.  Nana will be cherished with love and affection by her seven grandchildren, Derek Bell (Barbara), David Bell (Stephanie), Bryan Howcroft (Christie), Brett Mason (Tegan Feetham), Samantha Dawson (Jack), Scott Howcroft (Sean Hale), Ryan Mason (Ashley Scully), and her nine great-grandchildren, Ethan, William, Erica, Daniel, Jacob, Tye, Lily, Ava Grace, and the late Mya.  Dear sister of William Kell (Margaret Blakely), Keith Kell (Helen) and late Shirely Constable (Blake).  Survived by her sister-in-law Margaret Patton and brother-in-law Don McLean.  Grace will also be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Friends may call at SKWARCHUK FUNERAL HOME, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford (1-800-209-4803) for visitation on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service will be held at the Gilford United Church, 1477 Gilford Rd., Gilford on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 11 a.m.  Interment to follow at Holy Martyrs Cemetery in Bradford.  In memory and honour of Grace, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Lung Association or to The Alzheimer Society.
