Obituary of Anthony Verkaik

Peacefully passed away at his home in Tollendale on Friday, January 31, 2014. Tony Verkaik of Barrie and formerly of Springdale in his 90th year.  Beloved husband of Johanna �Anne� (nee Maan).  Loving father of Debbie VanLeusen (Jack Vos and late Jerry VanLeusen) and Arlene Kooring-Murray (Brian Murray and late Dan Kooring). Proud grandpa of Jeremy (Charlene), Aaron (Lesley Botelho) and Andrea VanLeusen (Brad Thompson); Bradley (Yvonne), Jordan, Kenny and Curtis Kooring and Jake Murray. Dear brother of Ann Mol, Agnes VanDyke and predeceased by Jake, Harry, George, and Peter Verkaik, Lena Terpstra and Betsy Horlings. Tony will be lovingly remembered by many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Springdale Christian Reformed Church, 1466 5th Sideroad, Bradford for visitation on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service held at the Church at 12 noon. Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford. In Tony�s memory, donations may be made to the Holland Marsh and District Christian School or World Renew (Hunger Relief).
