Joan Ballantine

Obituary of Joan Lila Ballantine

Happy trails to you Always Sunny. Always with a warm laugh. A large Heart & Happy smile. Always Joan: She passed peacefully and quietly with a familiar face and hand-holding companion by her side during the early morning of November 19th. Grieving, are her daughter, Barbara; two grandchildren, great grandchildren, niece and nephew. As well, a community of friendly faces were always waiting in the wings. We All Cared! Joansie had a wonderful, fulfilling and textured kick-at-the-can kind of journey, always playing each hand that she was dealt. Honestly. Never grumbling about her lot in Life along the way, even though there were many hard knocks and several decanters of drink awaiting her at each day's end. Whether thick as thieves with friend Dixie; cruising with cabin mate Vi; tremendous friend to many Joan touched hundreds of lives on the road through to her Senior Years. What more can be said of a good Life lived well!! At Joan's request, private funeral arrangements have been made. In Joan's memory, donations may be made to M.L. McConaghy Seniors' Centre or the Longo's Family Charitable Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to Skwarchuk Funeral Home, Mt. Albert (905-895-8062) Let us all raise our glasses. Cheers to Joan Lila Orchard.   until we meet again.
