I was very sorry to read about the death of your mother. I still tell people the story you told me about the first time your mom took your brother shopping when he was a baby. Hope you and John are well.

There is a place in my heart for Julia Gaffey that no one else could ever fill. It's can't be added to and cannot be taken away. She was the lady who opened her home to me so many years ago, and taught me what family is really all about. How do you condense feelings of a lifetime into a few sentences? I mostly loved her sense of humour and how she could always see the joke. How proud she was of her children and their children. Most of all how she never quit trying, no matter what life handed her. Know you will be loved and missed. You've earned your rest Mom.

When I was a baby and toddler and Gary & Susan took care of me, the Gaffey's were my family and Julia was my grandmother. And she loved and treatment like all grannies treat their grandchildren. I was very lucky to have her as grandma even if for only short time . Even after I went to my forever home, my mom would remind me of my first Gramdma.
It's been 22 years and Gary is still my dad .....in my heart, and I am sorry for his loss.
To ALL the GAFFEY's who were my family for the first two years of my life, please accept my deepest sympathy
