Ed was like an uncle to us, he gave us Pepper (even though Mom and Dad didn't want her). He was one of my Dad's best friends.Memories of work boots at the front door, cards at the kitchen table, music and laughter when they all gathered. They lived full lives filled with great friendships. Let's take comfort in the thought that he has joined others gathered once more at the kitchen table having a rye and coke again.

A true original. He had the coolest wife, the coolest car and was one of my first bosses. He taught me how to drive a ten speed in an old Kenworth tanker truck, was one of the unofficial "uncles" at the Shannon farm and was serious about his fishing, especially in the park. He had one of the slowest, most ghetto Ski-Doos I ever saw, and drove it like it was a sports car. Thanks Charlie Brown for being a part of our lives.

Dear Ed, I have known you for close to 60 years. Your youngest sister is my dearest friend, since grade 2. Our parents played euchre together most Saturday nights. Who would have thought the last few years euchre would bring us together again? Our deepest condolences to all your family.

I'm so sorry to read of your loss. I knew Ed throughh the Danube Centre Euchre games. His courage, smile and chuckle will be sorely missed. We also discovered we had geographical connections as I come from Amherst Island and Ed advised he had many relatives in Bath. Please accept my condolences.

Euchre at the Bradford Legion won't be the same without Ed, who will tell us to stop talking and start playing? We'll miss you, my friend.
