Obituary of Louis Szoldatits

It is with broken hearts that his family announces his passing on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket with family at his side at 84 years of age. Louis came to Canada at the age of 17. He courageously left his parents Anna & Ferencz in Hungary for a new journey. He devoted his life to his loving wife Margaret (Bodo) of 48 years, his daughters Erika (Jerry Little) & Linda (Chris Gullison) who know him as larger than life & as an adoring Nagypapa to his grandchildren Niko, Portia, Ava, Jesse, Skyler & Dylan. Dear brother of late Bela (late Rozsi), late Janos, Frank (Maria), Aranka (late Bill), Anna (late Lajos) and late Alfonz (Marika). Dear brother-in-law of Janos (Marta)and Irma (Tamas). He settled on the Holland Marsh & created a life for himself & his family, working the vegetable fields he called home. A proud farmer who shared his warm & gentle nature with every person & animal. His love lives on in his beautiful light. Friends may call at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford for visitation on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 11 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at the Holy Martyrs of Japan Church, 167 Essa St., Bradford at 12 noon. Interment Holy Martyrs Cemetery, Bradford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southlake Regional Health Centre in his memory.
