Obituary of Russell Joseph Dornig

It is with sadden hearts we announce the passing of Russell Dornig on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, 5 days before his 85th birthday. Beloved husband of the late Katie Dornig. Dear father of Helen Gomes, Cathy Dornig (Mike) and Wendy Walker (Rick). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Chris and Eric Walker and his extended family Jamie Morrison (Julianne), Nicole Scharb (Justin) and their children Olivia and Jake, Danny Morrison (Erica) and their son Adam. Loving brother of Marie Barry and Helen Poirier (Dale). Predeceased by his parents Helen and Stanley Dornig, sisters Evelyn Blanchette and Jeanette Shea and his brothers Stanley, Raymond and Clifford Dornig. Russell will be fondly remembered by all of his nieces, nephews, family and friends. A memorial mass will be held at the Holy Martyrs of Japan Church, 167 Essa St., Bradford on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 10 a.m. followed by interment of ashes at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southlake Regional Health Centre. Arrangements entrusted to Skwarchuk Funeral Home, Bradford.
