Obituary of Luella Rae Brookes

With sadness we say goodbye to a great lady who will be missed by many. Luella Rae Brookes born at her family farm in Lefroy on August 10, 1916, passed away peacefully in Newmarket on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Luella is preceded in death by her husband Harry, step-son Peter, sister Jean, brother Stewart, sister-in-law Grace, brother-in-law Temple and niece Helen. She is survived by her step-daughters Terri (Ron) and Carol, grandson David (Lee Ann), great-grandchildren Nathan and Elizabeth, sister Marie, nephews Paul (Carol), Rick (Michelle), Brian (Jennifer), Bill, nieces Mary, Joan (Bruce), Marlene (Jim), Betty, Pat (John) as well as 17 great nieces and nephews and many great-great nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Road, Bradford (1-800-209-4803) for a memorial visitation on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 12 noon until the time of a memorial service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Lefroy United Church.
