Obituary of Lylia Edna Hounsome

Peacefully at Simcoe Manor, Beeton at the age of 105 years 6 months after a short illness. Edna lived in West Gwillimbury her whole life until she moved to Simcoe Village and then to Simcoe Manor in Beeton. She married Herbert (Herb) William Hounsome (deceased 1981) on April 22nd, 1933 and they had four children; Ray (deceased) and wife Sylvia, Bernice (deceased) and husband Dave Shaldoff, Ken and wife Sue, and Ivan and wife Marg. She is survived by her sister Irene Jones and her brother Art Webb. She is also survived by 14 grand children, 56 great grand children, 15 great great grandchildren with one more arriving in June, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford for visitation on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 2-5 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment Bond Head United Church Cemetery. In Edna’s memory, donations can be made to the Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
