My condolences To Brian's family. He gave me support over many years in the commercial kitchen service industry. Most of all he and I had a great friendship. He was a special person to many and I consider my self lucky to have been able to meet him through out mutual love for providing service to all the customers that we dealt with over the years. I looked up to Brian and took inspiration in his training skill and became an instructor in the gas industry. Brian you will be missed by many. Rest now and be at ease as you made life much better for many. I will miss you but never forget you.
Friend always

Very Very sad to hear this news!!
Ken has known and worked with Brian for 30 years. We visited Garland every summer and he would come to us with hats and buttons for our kids and make them laugh. He was just that kind of person - bringing the best out in everyone.
I spoke with Brian 20 times a day everyday involving some form of repair. He shared so much knowledge - I've learned so much from him. Brian would tell me stories about his grandchildren - He was a proud Grampa!!
Thoughts and Prayers are with all of you during this difficult time !!
It was a pleasure to have crossed paths -- We will miss you Brian!
And yes - " it's as clear as Mud - Bud! "

Brian and I began working the the foodservice industry around the same time, early 1980's.
Brian was always professional, knowledgable and courteous. He was a very caring person in his job and always wanted to make sure he went above and beyond to help his customers and colleagues.
We met many times over the years and I enjoyed many conversations, both in person and on the phone. As soon as I heard that familair voice " hey Bud, what's up ?' , I knew he would help me every time.
We spoke of our families at times, and Brian always had time to ask about family.
He truly was a remarkable person.
We will all miss Brian very much.
We extend our sincere condolences to his family , friends , colleagues and co-workers.

I remember the first time I met Brian at Garland. I was up there for a week of training and my roommate had quite the snoring ability that it over did the jets flying overhead. When I finally met him in person, I introduced myself and told him of my situation. His fix for me was a pair of earplugs from the production line. He had a fix for practically everything.
I will miss my friend and his years of wisdom.
My condolences to his wife, kids and family. He was a great person!!

Such sad news on Brian's passing away. He and I worked together for 30 years in our industry. Myself at RAP Maintenance & then Key Food in Edmonton. He was a beautiful man. For years he helped us out on so many issues and part inquiries. His voice to me was so recognizable and calming. He was always such a professional. When he came out for seminars it was always great to go have a beer later on and not talk shop. My heart goes out to the Cottingham family.
