Jack was a great guy. Loved hearing his stories of days gone by. And who could forget those awesome trucks he designed himself. Jack and his beautiful wife were one if the first people I met when I moved to Bradford. He was quite the character and will be deeply missed. The love he had for his wife and children was so pure and he would shine when talking about them. Rest in peace Bud. My condolences to the family. He may be gone but will never be forgotten.

Our deepest sympathies go out to you and your family Deb. No one can prepare themselves for how we feel when we lose someone so dear to us. It was very apparent every time I saw your dad, that he loved you unconditionally. His no nonsense ways and telling it like it is always brought a smile to my face. He reminded me so much of my own father and how he used to be. I remember the day we moved you into your home in Stroud and much to my surprise, I found a set of horseshoes that my dad had made. When I asked you about them, your dad came into the room and told me that they were given to him by my father and that they frequently did business together....or helped each other out I think is how your dad put it. What a small world it is and hearing your dad talk about their visits was truly joyful. Your memories can never be taken away from you. I hope they bring you comfort knowing that you were such a big part of his life and you were able to share it with him.
Hugs to you my friend,
Doug and Jane

It is with deep sadness that I have learned of the passing of Uncle Jack, a true mentor who did so much more than simply influence my youth. He was one of the largest parts of my teenage and young adult years whose lessons I still carry with me to this day. My work ethics and sense of responsibility was enforced through my working in the Family business "Conroy Live Bait" on Gladstone Ave. in downtown Toronto. It was he who taught me how to drive large riggs with learning how to drive the GMC Astro with the worm in a top hat and his girlfriend in the yellow polka dot bikini proudly embossed on the hood under the words "Canadian Night Crawlers" . That knowledge led me to a career as a commercial truck driver for more than 35 years having obtained an ABZ license. That started with smashing the 4x4 pickup truck into the wall at 13 and rather than him yell at me he just asked me if I had learned anything. That was the start of many valuable lessons he taught me about life. A character, YES! He was a CONROY! That is something like a Badge of Honour we all wear proudly upon the chest. His stogie hanging out of the mouth and love of Ice Cold Vanilla Milkshakes, the corn roasts at the farm where all who attended were family. He was never flashy, (except when he had the Crown Victoria or Aunt Marlene's Pink Cadillac to Cruise in), but a soul you truly loved. His favourite saying I remember "Mike, where do we get these people" Truck on Uncle Jack, you will be missed. Say hi to Dad for me.
Love, Michael and Anne Conroy, Heather, Mike and Dougie Conroy-Mulvihill
