Obituary of John (Jan Roelof) Medendorp

(Past owner of D’Olde Stee “The Dutch Store,” Bradford) Peacefully passed away, surrounded by his wife and daughters at the Margaret Bahen Hospice, Newmarket on Thursday, November 15, 2018. John Medendorp of Bradford at 79 years of age. Beloved husband of Johanna (nee Borger). Loving father of Jacqueline Medendorp, Lucie (Rolf) Tuin, Susan (David) Trueman and Klare Medendorp. Proud Opa of Robynne, Monique, Jack and Julian. Dear brother of late Johan (Annie) and Carla (Jan) Visscher. Dear brother-in-law of Jan (Elly), Dinie (Evert) and Gerry (Herman). John will also be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Family and friends may be received at SKWARCHUK FUNERAL HOME, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford for visitation on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 2-5 p.m.  Memorial Service will be held at the Holland Marsh Christian Reformed Church, 18935 Dufferin St., R.R.#2 Newmarket (Ansnorveldt) on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 1 p.m.  In John’s memory, donations may be made to the Margaret Bahen Hospice or to the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket.
